Lol, the true modern standoff. Feels like both trying to avoid that ‘u first’ text message duel

    4. Lol, the standoff gets real when you’re both too polite or just too scared to send that first text 🙈. Who’s gonna break first tho?! 🤠

    5. Th online equivalent the the little shuffle you do when you and a person are walking towards each other

      Text Read

      Last online # minutes ago

      “Person” is typing

Nobody asked for these things.. yet they exist.. and nobody really seems to know why.. or cares..

Why does it matter that I know if you’ve immediately, read my text or not?

So that I can worry about you not responding immediately? So that I can keep note of, if you saw my message or not?

Why does it matter that I know you were online 5 minutes ago?

So that I can keep tabs on when you are online? So that I can feel bad, knowing I hopped online, as you hopped offline?

The only one here that makes some sense is the, this person is typing, feature.

If we’re having a conversation, it’s just courtesy to not speak over eachother.

Though it is annoying, when you get in the position where, you both wanna talk, but you don’t wanna be rude.

But that happens in real life aswell, anyways.
