    1. This is Delhi. My city , Pune is 172 right now and hasnt crossed 200 in living memory and generally is under 100 most of the year

Not great but it’s definitely livable here

Delhi has the unfortunate geographical location that naturally makes it a gas coffin. Besides diwali, this is the time period where farmers burn a lot of stubble in nearing states( and countries). All of which are carried by the the wind to Delhi

What’s it been on the other days… I’ve heard that crop burning from Punjab leads to higher pollution levels

Whoever invented religion: Thank you for making the world worse for many generations to come.

    5. It’s literally smokes everywhere 🤷‍♂️😆 Try brace it on ‘less smoky day’… you’d be left speechless. Considering those are operational day for factory, industries etc etc.

So higher than current cheap and accessible air quality tools can measure. Sounds like a cancer-filled fun time. I mean a fun-filled cancer time. Honestly, I just mean cancer.

      Chernobyl vibes.

They had a radiation detector. It read an amount and they determined a the danger zone based on that amount. they didnt know at the time that that it read as far as the device could measure and people died. They later used a larger machine, it read a certain number, and they still didnt realize at the time that it was also at its limit. They then brought in another device, and then another, and so on. At the time, no machine could measure the amount of radiation that the meltdown emitted. To this day, there are only educated guesses.

    8. A fun reminder for my friends who want a cheap air purifier: a box fan with an HVAC air filter attached works just as well as a regular air purifier in a pinch.

    9. And yet I saw an article the other day stating my inhaler could be a big culprit in pollution

God forbid I try and breathe
