This is an extremely misleading post and as someone who was on the streets in the protest that day, let me clarify. Students from Bangladesh University of Professionals were protesting against the recent rape incident of an ex student. However, members from HT (an extremist/terrorist organization) took this opportunity to push their own agenda. In the midst of the protest, they handed out their own placards to a lot of women. Me and a few of my friends noticed it after a little while and started collecting and removing all of those placards. The women holding them didn’t read or notice them while marching, which is definitely their own fault and they have admitted to it. We collected almost 13-15 placards and everyone admitted their shortcomings of not reading the placard that was handed to them beforehand. So please stop spreading misinformation.
