The Warsaw Uprising was an attack by the Polish Resistance on Nazis in Warsaw in 1944. The attack was intentionally timed by the Resistance to coincide with the advancing Red Army. The Red Army stopped attacking the Nazis and waited until the Nazis had killed of the Resistance before resuming their attack.Â
