We have all sorts of technology but not the kind that unlocks the doors in the event of a crash??

    2. I mean. If the driver wasn’t drunk and didn’t fly through a red light, none of this would be an issue.

We all like to make fun of German bloatware and overly use of standards, ASPICE this, Misra that. Here’s what you get without it.

It says something that the headline leads with the impact on the Xiaomi share price rather than the horrible death of the person inside the car.

Don’t put electronics on every single fucking thing, this is so stupid and unneccessary.

    7. electric cars are so dangerous

The fires are near impossible to put out

The functions like doors seem to always have issues because of everything being wired to it’s computer

And their longevity is probably much shorter than normal cars

Anybody else notice they were hitting the brakes before the crash? Seems like they were trying to stop but the car kept going.

    9. It should be a requirement that all cars have door locks that can be manually operated. Electronic is fine but it should not be the only way.

    10. It’s such a relief to have a car that runs on petrol/gasoline which can’t possibly catch fire. /s

    11. PSA: have a window breaker inside the car. It can be a hammer with a pointy end or a special tool like a “Resqme” (which is easier to put in a convenient place).

There was a guy on here looking for a new car after a FREAK accident on his Ioniq 5. He said that the ecu tripped and is just accelerated without any brakes. He was seriously injured but I have never read a single article regarding Hyundai

Ah. That’s why the Chinese government now requires all cars to have mechanical latch to open from inside and outside; by 2030 I think.
