I was one of about 9 people that actually bought a 1st gen and 2nd gen windows phone. I loved them. The screen was gorgeous, UI customization was worlds ahead of iOS and the app tiles/wigdets were a really cool feature that iOS didn’t adopt until generations later.
This was a missed opportunity by Microsoft. I think if they had kept WP exclusive to their devices, like iOS to Apple devices, we could still have a coke vs Pepsi phone environment.
RIP!

Stole that from Steve Jobs when he had a funeral for OS 9 on stage a WWDC 02.

I remember my father buying a Lumia 920, and my sisters and I would use it to watch YouTube. It wasn’t a bad phone from what I recall, and it was one of the first touchscreen phones my parents collectively had, I liked it more than my dad’s old iPhone.

We sure it wasn’t for the Zune?

I remember stumbling across an incredibly expensive and incredibly lame launch event in Herald Square in Manhattan. It was soooo bad, so corny, so expensive.

That didn’t age well
Wow, talk about a dramatic marketing move! 😂
Should Sony do this for the XBox?
No issue here with Microsoft, but I will say I knew only one dude who had a MS phone.. he was and still is a total dick and a tool.
