Mister police man is identifiable; protester can start by suing him, that may get him to give up his accomplices…

I’m a paramedic in NY and I’m fully prepared to throw hands with one of these thugs.

    3. So conservative arguments against protestors that “If they’re in the streets how can emergency services get through?” is moot even though ICE is saying “If emergency services goes through we’ll kill the paramedics.”

    4. These guys watched footage of the IOF in Gaza and thought to themselves, “Now that looks like fun to me!”

So remember when police were only supposed to use deadly force in self-defense? Now they’re using deadly force to ensure compliance with their orders. It’s a police state.

Slight clarification from the actual article: the medic or EMT driving put the ambo in park, then it rolled slightly forward, as they do when you put them in park. The fragile ICE baby took that roll as a threat to his life.

I’ve been thinking about how I’d handle this all morning. I’ve been a medic for a long time. RN now. I know how I’d handle in hospital issue. Not sure how I would have handled this incident. By all accounts the crew handled it well.

Remember when these same people, who are now cosplaying as ICE agents, said to run over protesters when they got in the way of an ambulance? Maybe that should apply here.

    8. For some reason pleading my case in court 6 months later about why I want ice held accountable for preventing an ambulance driving my loved one to the hospital doesn’t seem like the appropriate way to go here.

These thugs are going to keep pushing the envelope because they are under the impression that they have unlimited authority with no real consequences coming their way.

What training are these people going through? It seems like they are just given guns and let loose on the public.

    10. Always a good sign when state force is used to threaten citizens for the sake of preventing an ambulance from taking someone to the hospital

Does anyone have a link or any more information? My specific questions are: how long were they made to wait? Was there any explanation for being made to wait? Did it seem like ICE was holding the ambulance as a punitive measure because they were upset with protesters? Was the patient in the ambulance ok?

These same assholes would argue that they could/should run over protestors blocking them. Just saying.

    13. IIRC, Florida passed a law recently allowing drivers to run down anyone who tried to obstruct them. Well, who’s the obstruction now?

Oregon, Illinois, time to pass some new laws.

Honestly the driver should’ve done it. That would’ve been amazing press. Given, no one wants to be shot (and I’m assuming they meant pepper balls or similar) but man they set themselves up for backlash if the driver went through with it.

But also, as the driver of an ambulance, your first responsibility is to the people you’re taking care of so I can 100% understand not taking up the “offer”.

Does this remind anyone of any other three letter force also starting with I somewhere doing this ? 🤨

It really feels like these ice officers are failed cops. And with the shit cops get away with you gotta be special to be a failed one.
