The road to mass surveillance

      Very soon??

I thought Snowden made clear to all (almost ten years ago) they’re already surveilling all of us….we “volunteered” to be surveilled by purchasing phones, tablets, etc.

I like to see more people becoming aware of this truth, definitely, but this has been going on a while.

Maybe ICE getting ahold of the real-time data is the new aspect of this, but we’re getting tracked, and have been for a long time.

    2. You heard it here folks. Don’t vote in the midterms because both parties equally bad.

Don’t give the dems a house majority that would allow them to subpoena Trump officials and launch congressional investigations and bring impeachment proceedings against Trump.

Because the Democrats are just as bad. So all we can do is let Trump do whatever he wants.

    3. There were people who were sounding the alarms back then, but the fervor to kill brown people and get our lick back drowned out their voices.

And the people who lied for the wars and cheered us as we went into them were not punished, but instead rewarded. How many people cheering for the Gaza genocide over the last 2 years were also cheering as we went into Iraq and Afghanistan?

Do the cross reference and be not at all surprised by the voices.

Obama ran in the dem primary against Hillary in 2008 on not having voted for the war in Iraq, and he did not punish or hold accountable any of the people who did.

Ok PREACH and panthr wants you to upload your face and self identify as Black and won’t tell me what they do with that data afterwards. It’s a simple question.

Yes. the dems fucking suck…..But i’d still take them over the party that rather see me dead or in jail, just for being mixed and gay

    6. This kind of shit is why I became a libertarian. Most libertarians only caring about it when things affect white people is mostly why I became a leftist (the other is that I cared about poor people but had naively thought we could transition away from government services into people helping each other more than current charity).

Why does ICE need to know where millions of people are?

I am more and more convinced that I need to leave this country when my passport comes in every day

    8. All three of those pieces of law where signed in by Republican President George W. Bush directly after 9/11. In addition, the only Nays for them came from democratic representatives

    9. The New York Times will report on this as if it’s a good thing and a pioneering of technology.

    10. They dont even need this because nano technology os already in us and capable.

I wonder if there is an app you can use on your phone to spoof this kind of information? There has to be something for android? I’m sure apple would never allow it though.

    12. Imagine the next pres going full DOGE and nuking ICE and stripping them of any law enforcement credentials so they have to go get a regular job

I had an argument with a coworker at happy hour back in 2003 or so about how the PATRIOT Act was a problem dn violation of 4th amendment rights and whatever and he basically said, “if you’re not doing anything wrong, why do you care?”

I wonder what he thinks about it now.

It wasn’t both sides for the people… Congress, probably. But not voters.

This both sides Dems are bad shit don’t mean anything anymore they’ve used it to be ridiculous too much. Check this out:

Trump said Dems are responsible for the shutdown so since trumps party has all three branches that makes Trump a Democrat.

See? They had to know at some point “Dems are badd!” Wasn’t gonna stick anymore.

    15. It’s whatever for me, I’m not hiding and I don’t run. What they did to those folks in the apartment complex in Chicago, and what they’re doing to folks in Memphis, is exactly what they’ll try to do nationwide. Only way to stop them, for when they come, is for communities to stand together and treat them like the bullies they are.

    16. Just reminds me of when my term paper for Computing Ethics was turned over to the NSA by my professor for expressing this very concern in 2002.
