    1. Just because they named the bill the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act” doesn’t mean that’s actually what it does …

That’s not a truth nuke. This isn’t about protecting women. It’s about keeping transgender people from playing in sports.

      Which is bullshit.
      Maybe try reading?

Lmfao they think not allowing one trans kid to play softball is equivalent to taking away your daughter’s reproductive rights. It’s an interesting take to say the least.

Lots of Republicans want women in prison or even executed for having an abortion. They want to end no-fault divorce too.

Don’t ever let Republicans get away with pretending they care about women.

Dems really should make bills named protecting gun rights from criminals and have it about removing anyone who broke the constitution as an ice officer.

Isn’t that the bill that wants female athletes to have genital inspection before being able to compete?

The Protect Women Act is to keep trans women from competing with cis women. Is that guy an idiot or is everyone who follows that account?

Exactly. And women still voted for these clowns. I think stuff like this is something that people on Twitter are more aware of than people in general. People speak way more openly on Twitter than in real life. And what’s crazy is the fact that nobody in the government looks at what is going on Twitter and questions Musks character. Musk literally and intentionally bought Twitter to push right wing propaganda to coincide with Trumps presidency.

Republicans do this all the time. They’ll write a law called the “Give All Puppies A Hug Bill” and say it’s about taking care of puppies while the language of the bill actually expands puppy mills and deregulates dog breeding or some shit. And then when democrats don’t vote for it because it’s an awful bill, they take the name of the bill and say, “See? Democrats can’t even care about puppies. They are evil godless commies.” Fuck them.

    10. I made a bill called “the children are important. ” The bill makes being gay illegal. Why don’t you care about the children, democrats!!!

    11. I would say it is more than half. Probably closer to 75-80% if I had to guess. Rapepedoklans are cretinous cave people.

    12. The name of the act doesn’t always describe its contents.

Like calling yourself a patriot while raiding the Capitol Hill doesn’t make you one.

    13. I love these bill names like this, but when you dive into the language it will say something crazy like;, “all coaches are allowed at any time to inspect the genitals of their team, also states right is a myth unless it aligns with us ideologically and is convenient”

    14. Why didn’t they name it “protection of America act” instead? You know, to really get the dems on record for hating America, even though the act has nothing to do with protecting America (or women and girls, obviously).

    15. The Democrats correctly thought they were voting on the anti-trans bigotry extravaganza.

Really cute double speak name the GOP came up with for that thing

    16. I’d like to see that bill to see what else was slipped into the bill unrelated to the title.

    17. Also this whole “protection of women in sports” bullshit is nothing but bad faith arguing. They’re not trying to protect anyone, they just want to oppress trans folks in yet another way. It’s weasel-wording at it’s finest.

    18. The name of a bill can be anything. There is no requirement that it describes what the bill actually does.

    19. TheOttersCouch on

We need a lock up the pedophile bill which is just releasing the Epstein files and be like wow no republicans wants to lock up pedophiles

    20. they could introduce a bill making it mandatory to kill Dalmatian puppies for fur coats and call it the Protect The Red Panda From Poaching Act just for the optics of their opponents voting against it

    21. Can someone have a genuine conversation with me. I see trans in sports as an issue when competing against woman. I don’t watch a lot of sports but I did do track we had the woman’s events and the open(men’s).

Why would designating trans to compete in the open be a big deal? It’s such a tiny percentage of people to start with but sports should be fair competition and there are biological advantages here. While sure in the open a trans person may not win. But you can just have that be a sacrifice to be made and I see that a better sacrifice than to have an unfair advantage competition

I mean Les than 1% of the population is trans and even less do sports if I’m not mistaken.

Now if the bill includes weird thins that’s another issue. But I’m talking solely on the topic of trans in sports
