Constantine wasn’t terrible but he had a bit of a twitchy trigger finger, killing many members of his family on a whim and generally making spontaneous decisions in a fit of anger that would bite him in the ass later on.

Only a slight clarification; although he is highly regarded in the Christian West (Roman Catholicism), he is only considered a saint by the Christian East (Orthodox and such)
