Bronze Roman door in St John Lateral, taken from the Curia Julia (2268×4032)

The massive bronze door, produced for the Curia Julia during the reign of Domitian (81-96), was moved to St John during the papacy of Alexander VII (1655-67) and are still in use today. The door is so well balanced that it only takes one person to open it despise its weight.
