Truly, you are blessed. Most people just get trench foot and existential dread this time of year.

Superintendent, I hope you’re ready for a sacrifice to Elohim!
I thought we were worshipping El.
D’oh, no, I said Elohim! That’s what we call the supreme god.
You call the supreme god Elohim?
Yes. It’s a regional dialect.
Uh-huh. What region?
Uh, the Levant.
Really? Well, I’m from Canaan and I’ve never heard anyone use the name “Elohim.”
Oh, not in Canaan, no, it’s a Judean expression.

The Quran has a detailed description of how heirloom should be divided between the heirs of a deceased person. The ratios clearly favors the male heirs over the female heirs. This has been a great source of debate, some people say this is just God’s will so we follow it without question, some say it’s because the sons have more responsibilities, some say it’s because women are irresponsible and would immediately spend the money on makeup and handbags.
It finally made sense to me when I learnt about leveret marriage. The male heirs get more shares of the heirloom because they’re supposed to marry the widow. That money is the dowry.
But this leveret marriage is a cultural practice specific to the levant. Why should a south Asian like me follow an inheritance scheme designed for a completely different culture?

Well, Yeah basically.
When you really compare good,Monotheism is just one big “copy my homework but change the words a bit” chain.
