It’s sad that we live in a world where grown ass adults have to be told to behave in public

    2. I mean, it’s the easiest job on the planet, not hard to do it right. Worked in fast food for five years and never messed up an order. Harder to do it wrong then to follow the simple instructions

    3. Yes, treat staffers with respect. But also not every staff member is amazing. Some just suck and/or have shitty attitudes, and it shouldn’t be expected for the customer to endure that.

    4. Ok but I just wanna point out, if abusive customers are common you should pay employees more.

as someone raised right, I had no idea how utterly shit Americans are until I worked a CS job. It’s 100% cultural, you dont get treated like shit in Japan. Result of a society that promotes individual success

    6. I get fast food a few times a week, and roughly a third of the time it’s something. I do my best to not turn it into a thing, but I feel like I am more likely to get shitty service on a per-interaction basis than a fast-food worker.

Are there unrepentant shitbags trying to ruin a worker’s day? Absolutely, and they are horrible people. There should be a retail and fast food no-fly list. But I feel like bad service, especially post-COVID is unfortunately part of the rising cost of fast food.

If they looked after their staff as well as that sign implies, there would be no staff shortages

    8. I’ve been seeing signs like this lately, including other service industries like doctor offices and labs. Pretty sad you have to remind people to be civil.
