    1. Albanians claim they are descended from Illyrians. Albanians are also the largest minority in North Macedonia. So, its ethnic Macedonians being like, “You weren’t here then. C’mon. This is our turf.” Which is weird, because Macedonians are definitely recent arrivals in the grand scheme of history.

    2. Didnt think I would make a post like this, but this angers me beyond reason. Here is the full video of the investigation – [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaqjojpmK0k](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaqjojpmK0k)

These are Illyrian funeral stele & gravestones from Dardania, where Scupi (Skoplje) was once the capital of the former Kingdom and Roman Province,

The Gravestones often depict Illyrian personal names, and reference birthplaces such as “Dardania” or “Albanopolis”. In an effort to conduct historical revisionism, the North MAcedonian authorites and museum curators removed these gravestones from public sight. When a reported from TopChannel Albania went to see the stones, he was met with aggressive North Macedonians who told him “These have nothing to do with Illyrians”.

The gravestones can no longer be matched to their respective gravesites. The museum purposefully hides the Illyrian gravestones in favor of pursuing a “Ancient Macedonian” history for the region. Like the “Skopje 2014” project where the Nationalist government spent $700M building statues of Phillip II and Alexander the Great…in Skopje, which has nothing to do with the Ancient Macedonians.

This is pure evil. This is nazi-level propaganda. This is what ISIS did in the levant to erase pre-islamic history. It infuriates me like no other. How can one be a “Museum curator” or an “Archeologist” and treat 1,500 year old artifacts like this?

And then to move the gravestones from their original resting place, losing the site of the actual grave and who it belonged to, is unforgivable. I just want to spread awareness on the fact that this is happening now and has happened before in the Balkans. While many think the North MAcedonian nationalists only appropriate from Greeks, they do so at the expense of Albanian/Illyrian heritage in the region.
