He did it because his neighbor wouldnt stop feeding them. He said he was going to do it until they stopped feeding them.

    2. Royals and nobles ate peacocks hundreds of years ago. Why shouldn’t Floridians eat them now?

Yeah this guy definitely seems unhinged, but people kill chickens and turkeys they raise at home all the time and nobody says anything. Pretty sure those birds don’t want to die any more than these peacocks did.

Peacocks were and possibly still are a luxury food in many cultures. Nothing vile and disgusting about it

As long as animals are killed humanely and aren’t endangered, the idea that there are specific animals that it is legal to kill for food and others that aren’t is insane.

    6. In some parts of south Florida, peacocks are essentially pigeons. I doubt they were pets.

    7. Florida’s that one friend that everyone calls…. special… or so pretty….

      Bless their hearts.

    8. “While he was being taken to jail, the man told deputies that he would kill all of his pet peacocks upon release to prevent anyone from taking them, the sheriff’s office report said.

The Pasco county sheriff’s office on Monday did not immediately respond to an inquiry about the fate of the remaining peacocks.”

But they would like to thank the kind anonymous donatior of six delicious buckets of fried chicken that were delivered to the sheriff’s office.

      Probably.

    9. Just read the posted article. The means of killing literally describes how regular Joe’s dispatch chickens…

    10. Peacock was a food source since ancient times and there’s still a specific species that is legal to eat.

    11. If it’s his animal he has that right I thought..

He killed it the right way, even ate it..

I mean dude seems like a loony but .. I don’t get why he was arrested.
