When you have the house to yourself in the 1990s and decide to frighten yourself by turning on Unsolved Mysteries and having this iconic theme play

    1. The Whitley Strieber alien abduction episode scared the crap outta my little brother and I. We shared a room, I don’t think he slept that night.

    2. FYI – If you watch old episodes on a streaming service like Pluto, the makers of the show would continue to provide new updates on stories decades later. Though, those missing persons cases are even sadder now if there’s still no update.

    3. They play this song at Yankee stadium when a play is under video review. Makes me laugh every time.

    4. That song still freaks me out. There was an episode about ghosts in a hotel and the scene with wet foot prints is still in my mind.

    5. *”Striker, listen, and you listen close: solving an unsolved mystery is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.”*

10 year old me: That weird killer from the Southern US? Obviously made his way to Canada and is hiding in my closet as we speak.

I had this as my ring tone, years ago, when people still used ring tones. The looks I got from strangers…

Watching this on Tubi. Stack’s deep slow delivery and the frightening theme song/show content had me checking the shadows of my bedroom for things lurking about waiting to kill me. As an adult I can appreciate this show without it keeping me up at night

    9. Turn on Unsolved Mysteries?

You mean wait for the time that it starts playing, and then wade through gallons of commercials until it finally starts?

    10. When Netflix brought it back and I first turned it on, I got chills from the theme. I hadn’t heard it in forever.

I always find it hard to believe that simple theme music can instill feelings of feed, like it’s not a rational thing… but to this day that music still creates that feeling in me.. I thought it was just me..
