October 8, 2025Buster, a black dog from Oklahoma, transformed completely to white over 2.5 years due to vitiligo, a rare genetic condition causing loss of pigmentation in skin and fur.
sheknits57 on October 8, 2025 3:54 am Known in some parts of the US. I’ve seen them in Brevard, NC. They really play into the white squirrel there.
TurnkeyLurker on October 8, 2025 3:56 am We’ve seen the occasional one, but in a few towns over. Stunning squirrels. We had black squirrels in Maryland. So cool to see in the wintertime, against the snow.
_Rand_ on October 8, 2025 4:09 am There is a black squirrel around here I’ve seen for years now (or it’s children I guess?) that has a white tip to his tail. Never seen an all white one though.
Fine-Upstairs-6284 on October 8, 2025 4:23 am My childhood neighborhood in CT used to have a ton of white squirrels. Now when I visit I don’t notice them anymore unfortunately. Tons of wild rabbits now though, which wasn’t common when I was growing up
Ericas_xo on October 8, 2025 4:27 am This is crazy. I’ve never came across a white squirrel in my entire life!
galliumsilver on October 8, 2025 5:44 am This one looks pink around eyes, maybe albino? Instead of the just-white kind, I mean?
