*I fear morale amongst the men maybe at an all time low as provisions run low, and the selection at our beloved mercantile has become scarce.*

*Gone are the maple bacon and the chocolate glazed, and the blueberry crunch are nowhere to be found. Coffee bean stores are perilously low, and I fear that soon all we’ll have left is decaffeinated beverage and some sort of fruity confection topped with what’s called a “pebble.”*

*I yearn for home, may you and father keep me in your prayers. Give my best to the goats.*

      *Your beloved son,*

      *Pvt. Ethan J Marmalade*
