Reagan would be fully on board with the current GOP’s agenda, even before he lost his marbles. He only wanted government empowered to hurt minorities. Any government function or regulation that might actually benefit Americans was by definition wasteful overreach and it had to go.
Reagan even had his own massive disease outbreak to mismanage. He and his cronies were laughing about unchecked AIDS rampaging across the country because it was hitting gay communities hardest. Trump buttfucking the COVID response because it mostly hurt blue cities at first was following right in Reagan’s footsteps.
