    1. The real-life locations that inspired the Pixar movie Luca are the towns of Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera. While Portorosso is a fictional town, it was created by combining elements from these colorful Ligurian coastal villages, with the director Enrico Casarosa drawing from his childhood experiences in the region.

The locals must have been annoyed at all of the video cameras on their beach while they filmed this animated movie.
