The real-life locations that inspired the Pixar movie Luca are the towns of Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera. While Portorosso is a fictional town, it was created by combining elements from these colorful Ligurian coastal villages, with the director Enrico Casarosa drawing from his childhood experiences in the region.
