Interesting fact: me and Jimmy page have one thing in common here, which is he was 29 during this and I’m 29 now. And it’s hard not to look at my life sometimes and then look at his and wonder whose was better. I know I shouldn’t compare to myself. But when it seems like literally everyone you know has a better life than you, it’s hard not to

John Paul Jones: I’m the bass player in a band with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, but _just to make sure_ I don’t get laid, let me get this dumbass Prince Valiant haircut

    3. I loved watching the Netflix doc and they’re all old, quiet and sweet now. But we know what went down back then. We know.

Fun fact… this entire clip was NOT from MSG. It was shot on a sound stage in England (Shepperton Studios). While there are in fact many shots in The Song Remains the Same that were shot in MSG, this is not one of them.

Jimmy Page wasnt too thrilled with the initial footage. So they regrouped after getting home from the tour, and reshot a bunch of the songs. An easy way to tell is looking at the band’s hair. JPJ is mostly out of focus. Probably because he’s wearing a bad wig, as he cut his hair upon returning home.
