The hustle is impeccable. They got us working two separate payment plans for the same product.

    2. Pro-tip: Brave browser has a built in ad-blocker, highly recommended. Still works, unlike all the now defunct ones on Chrome. It’ll automatically import all your favorites, passwords, and shit from whatever browser you do use.

My ad blocker when YouTube tries serving up ads.

I had premium for a while, I liked having downloaded videos to watch when I didn’t have service.

But after that settlement with Donald I canceled my shit.

If I’m coming clean, after years of using YouTube wit ads, not having any is kinda nice 🫣.

„pEoPlE rEaLy PaY fOr YT pReMiUm???“ its literally the same as spotify, even same price BUT you get to watch yt without ads and play videos in the backround while you play clash royale or smth. if yt premiums a bad deal for you its entirely on you

Is this guy new to the internet? That’s how like any premium subscription works.

For music, exploit their desperate algorithms and you can get it for much cheaper.

I signed up for 3 months free music from Apple and cancelled Spotify. Now Spotify is offering me lower and lower deals in weird ways ($5.99 for 2 months). I’m sure Youtube has the same algorithms and offers.

Just set an alarm in your calendar the day before your trial ends and then cancel before they charge you. Alternatively, keep a cancelled credit card on file (save that 3-digit code!) and use that card for the trial periods. They don’t run it until the trial ends and by then you have switched to another service.

Capitalism has organized against us and has divided us so we cannot organize in response. We have to help each other.

I just use Firefox and an ad blocker. And for my phone I don’t use the YouTube app anymore. I use an ad free version of it.

I feel a little bad, because I know that’s how YouTubers get paid. But the ads at this point are ridiculous. I do a lot of cooking, and I usually have a YouTube video playing in the background while I do. It’s extremely annoying to have to stop every few minutes to wash my hands dry them and then skip the ad.

I didn’t mind the ads when it was just one at the beginning of a few videos.

Now it’s two at the beginning of every video, plus two more in the middle and if you don’t skip quickly enough it’ll play the full ad, and then of course another ad at the end of the video.

    12. They saw us move from TV to the Internet and followed us. God forbid we want to see something without someone trying to sell us something.

    13. If you don’t want Google to get money the solution is to not use YouTube. Not sure why this is hard.

    16. My ad block kind of still works, the ad flashes twice real quick and then the video shows
