One of the earliest and to this day best live action adaptations of a cartoon ever.

Robin made so many people laugh and helped them enjoy life just a little bit more. It saddens me that he anguished and died the way he did. RIP

    3. I should watch this again. I was so disappointed by the movie as a child but maybe I just didn’t get it.

    4. I was just the right age when this movie came out and loved the hell out of it. Then home video became a thing I ended up with a tape of it. I can’t remember if we recorded it off of TV or it we bought a used copy from the video store but I ended up wearing it out. (new movies on VHS at the time were really expensive)

I remember when I was older and got married I made my wife watched it and she just looked at me like…. Are you serious? LOL. She liked Star Wars just fine and I even turned her into a major Superman fan…. but I guess Popeye was a little too much for her.

I loved that movie when I was a kid! Amazing performances! As an adult, knowing how much hurt they carried is sad. I hope they rest easy knowing they brought so many laughs and smiles!

    6. I was at an estate sale last week and a lady next to me in line told me that Shelly Duvall’s estate sale was a couple weeks ago, in Blanco, Texas. She said that some of her memorabilia, like her script from The Shining, was held back of course and will be presented at auction soon.

Great casting could not save that stinker, the only movie I distinctly remember walking out of.

I loved it as a child. I recently watched it again. I still love it 40 years later.

Why is it black and white? We had color back then. I notice this with pictures from the ’90s all the time too. Why? I was fuckin alive back then, trust me we had color TV and pictures
