    1. You have a right to do it but it will turn Americans against your cause so it is almost always a bad idea if you want support from ordinary Americans. Americans are hyper-sensitive about the flag in a way that is hard for many non-Americans to understand. It is a sacred object to them.

The majority of the current Supreme Court would gladly argue, not only with a straight face, but also with a loud and thunderous voice, that burning a flag should have always been a crime rather than protected speech, but at the same time, if billions of dollars dumped into reelection campaigns isn’t speech, then they don’t even know what is.

    3. And now we have conservative majority scotus that had at least one justice openly saying that legal precedence no longer matters.

I’m debating going to one of those trump merch stands, purchasing a flag, and burning it in front of them now. I may get shot but I *probably* won’t go to jail

    5. Ok, and Clarence Thomas said “legal precedents are not gospel” so. The current Trump sycophants in the SCOTUS don’t care about the past SCOTUS decisions.

Yes, but “that was then and this is now.” Our Supremely Corrupt Court has shown no respect for precedent, tradition, or the constitution’s clear language.
