Eight years ago was the first time I saw this quote. R/GetMotivated has personally helped fan my flame for a number of years now. The older I get, the more I understand that some folks are out in this world just to extinguish the fire burning inside others. Some do it because they are bitter that someone did it to them at some point in time, and some do it for their own self pleasure or pity. If you see someone with a fire burning inside them today, or if you notice their internal flame dwindling… try fanning their flame instead and see that person light up with passion. Some will need more fanning than others, but everyone could use a breath of love and encouragement from a friend, loved one, or even stranger.
