Might as well get your hot sauce from New York City

Checks out, given the Arabic packaging.

This is probably made for a different market. Crystal hot sauce is legit and manufactured in Reserve, LA.

Maybe that bottle was, sure.

Probably made under licence or by the same company. According to their wiki page Crystal hit sauce is popular in Saudi because it was brought in by oil workers.

most of overseas crystal stuff is manufactured/packaged under license. It does taste significantly different through.

Crystal is definitely still a product of Louisiana. I took a class from the guy that ran the export side for Baumer foods and he grew up in Syria so he used to tell us all about the different markets in the Middle East he helped get Crystal into. He had a funny story about how one country complained that the hot sauce had changed color from one delivery to another and at first they couldn’t figure out what had changed and had them send back a bottle and did all this fancy testing on it. They found out that the shipping route those bottles always took was longer before and exposed the product to more heat which cooked the product in the shipping containers and changed the color but a new more direct route had since opened up and the hot sauce wasn’t baking in the container as long and the customers thought something was wrong with the iconic red color.
