Most mascots in “the olden days” were truly awful and I believe it is a mixture of them being actual body suits vs the more large and plastic-y mascots of today mixed with the material usually being a very hot-lookin rayon/nylon/polyester. The actual human, Dolly, looks like a human. The mascot looks like a person who is about to murder Dolly.
