Republican voters are so deep in their propaganda machine that they can’t see anything else. Every lie confirms their beliefs. Every belief has been manufactured.

The qualifier is the answer to the question.

People vote for Republicans because they are stupid and evil.

    3. It’s always the same thing. The progressive left wants to make things better for everyone while the conservative right wants to make it worse for everyone at the benefit of a very small elite.

    4. Democrats: Slightly better quality of life and cheaper healthcare?

Republicans: Counterproposal; disease and poverty, because go fuck yourself.

    5. >I do not understand how anyone ever votes for them without being stupid/evil.

That’s the trick: they never do.

And for anyone arguing otherwise: if doing all you can to maximize human suffering and death isn’t evil, what is?

Because many who vote for them are stupid and/or evil.

      It’s pretty simple actually.

    7. There are no “reasonable” GOP voters anymore. If someone votes for them, it is exclusively because they are either Evil, or Stupid, or Both. And we are well beyond the point of malignant harm that the difference between those categories matter any.

    8. For a lot of the uninformed voters, they are so jaded from getting shit on in this country that they think it makes them smart voting for the people who promise to help them.

They don’t want to put effort in to be informed, hear Dems talk about the reason the government is shut down is because we want X,Y,Z for you, and they think “yea bullshit, politicians are liars” and vote republican.

That applies to a few republican voters I have talked to.

No no no republicans would rather every immigrant and poor person die before they ever consider any action that doesn’t sequester more wealth and power to the top .1%

Not quite, the last and longest shut down in US history was 35 days in 2018 and the dividing issue? Trump wanted money for that wall Mexico was supposed to pay for and the Dems didn’t want to give it up

Still a battle between stupid evil and common sense but technically not within the set of the OOP
