    1. Wait until they hear that all our drinking water contains the chemical “dihydrogen monoxide.”

    2. I have an Equate bottle from last year that also has this, APAP has plenty of contraindications besides the autism nonsense.

Damn, I wish those were there when my mom was pregnant with me. She must’ve taken so much Tylenol with how fuck up I am.

    4. That label was already on most combination drugs that include acetaminophen (and also some that had nothing else in them at all).

Acetaminophen is really bad for you if you take too much of it, and many people in serious pain are prescribed combination drugs that include it as a component. It’s fine to mix an NSAID and an analgesic but it’s often a bad idea to mix multiple non-anti-inflammatory analgesics so that label just flags the fact that they should make sure they aren’t double dosing the stuff.

This may not be related to Trump’s autism statement.

There has been a longer term effort (in many countries) to clearly label drugs containing acetaminophen to prevent accidental overdoses by people taking multiple OTC medications simultaneously.

There is no way FDA labeling guidelines changed this fast in response to Trumps will.

    6. What do you mean by ‘now’? I have a bottle from 6 months ago with that on the lid. It is not new. Acetaminophen is, indeed, dangerous if overdosed. It destroys the liver, painfully I might add.

WTF are you on? There’s been warnings for a long time because it’s liver toxic and easy to overdose on and completely destroy your liver. The warning has nothing to do with autism so quit trying to rage bait.

    8. It’s always had that on there and you know it. It’s REALLY bad for your liver in excessive amounts. Rage-baiting for updoots is absolutely pathetic.

    9. There’s a zero percent chance this was manufactured in the past two weeks since Trump’s bullshit announcement.

It’s likely made in India (where like 80% of generics are made), and was probably produced months ago.

    10. I was taking one Ass Sardine Amen a day, because I’m old. Now I’m taking one a day, because I believe science, facts and my doctors, not some bloated old pedo that lied over 30,000 times in his first shot at destroying America.

    11. Tylonol is safe at the proper dose but it doesn’t take much extra for it to be dangerous. You might take something that contains tylenol and not know, and then take tylenol is what they are worried about, which is pretty resonable

    12. It’s for all the big drinking by the ruling party here. Probably should’ve been a pictogram instead of words, reading is hard for ’em.

I think the warning is because aceta…. Well let’s see how you say that. Aceeeet asotomoephi…

Because Tylenol is really easy to OD on, so you don’t want someone taking this and then taking a couple Tylenol on top of that.

    14. The only face palm here is making an existing label so you don’t OD on Tylenol and die political 🤦🏻‍♀️

    15. I mean it’s probably been there for a bit, as the active ingredient in Tylenol can cause liver damage if taken excessively.

    16. “Ah-ced-ya… well, let’s see how we say that…. Asset-eh men-a-phin. Acetaminophen!”

    17. These warnings have been a thing for a while.

Nothing to do with Trump’s Autism Idiocy.

    18. dumpster-muffin-95 on

MAGA should just shorten the word acetaminophen to autism since they can’t say acetaminophen anyway…

    19. Most medications containing acetaminophen have said that for years. It’s to alert people not to overdose on acetaminophen since it’s an ingredient on a lot of things that someone might think is just cough medicine or decongestant.

    20. yellowkingquix on

I’d like to know not because of autism but because lots of acetaminophen is bad for your liver.

    21. BrookeBaranoff on

      This isn’t new.

It’s because it’s a common pain reliever in a lot of things that when you take too much of causes your liver to bleed you to death.

People kept mixing it with their other otc meds like cold and flue and anticramp drugs and getting sick.

    22. Tart-Pomgranate5743 on

A *lot* of over-the-counter (and even some prescription) medications contain acetaminophen, and it can be very toxic to the liver if you take too much (the safe upper limit is about 4000 mg in 24 hours). So it *is* necessary to label the medication thus. Doesn’t mean Trump and RFK know sh*t about it…

    23. Leather_Network4743 on

That’s not a “now” thing. OTC and prescription medications containing Acetaminophen have carried that warning for quite a while due to the risks to the liver that the drug carries.
