Context: At the turn of the 400s BC the Shah’s brother, Cyrus, the younger, made a play for the thrown and got speared to death by a man named Mithridates at the battle of Cunaxa.
Upset that one of her sons died, the Shah’s mother went on a killing spree against some of the loyalist figures of the battle, including Mithridates, who arguably won the war.
He boasted about killing the Usurper, and for his transgression, he was subject to scaphism, where he was locked inside a boat, fed milk and honey that forced him to shit himself while insect ate him alive.
Also if you are a fan of the 1970s film the warriors. The events are loosely inspired by the aftermath of the battle. The Gang leaders name was Cyrus a direct reference to the Cyrus the younger.
