China has developed the world’s first bone glue for fracture repair.
It can even fix shattered bones by binding them together within 3 to 5 minutes, eliminating the need for secondary surgical procedures.

So far, more than 150 fracture cases have been successfully treated in clinical trials

But does it disintegrate later to let the bone fragments grow and attach again?

So bones went from snap, cast, wait months to snap, glue, done. Science really speedrunning the healing process.

    3. Chinese researchers have developed a **biodegradable bone glue** inspired by the way oysters naturally attach to surfaces. This adhesive shows strong bonding power, is biocompatible, and safely breaks down in the body, making it a promising alternative to screws, plates, or toxic synthetic cements currently used in bone repair. It could enable faster healing, fewer complications, and less invasive surgeries, though it is still in early stages and requires more testing before clinical use.

    4. Not going to lie, I thought the first frame was of a tiramisu with an iced frosting and was highly confused.

    5. I have seen SO MANY of these posts in the last few weeks and they always start with

      ‘China has invented …….’

      And not

‘A university in China has invented…….’

      Or

‘A company in China has invented …….’

      Or

‘A person in China has invented …….’

      Or

‘A medical team in China has invented …..’

      Coincidence?

Wow, that’s great! I wonder what they’re doing on the otherside of the pond… What’s that? Bringing back polio? Typical.

    7. Why the fuck would they have the person rotate their arm like 90 degrees for the after x-ray?

    8. how long until the bone dies then? bones are not rocks, they are part of the human body that need working capillaries which are pretty vital… just gluing a bone together would fuck that up.

    9. Meanwhile in the us we are debating whether or not vaccines we’ve had safely for 100 years are suddenly causing autism.
