The TV/streaming providers don’t really care who pays for the ad space as long as they get paid. If you’re watching something that’s on cable or network TV, such as YouTube TV or Hulu Live, those come from the network you’re watching.
It’s disgusting and despicable that this fascist regime is doing that, but it’s also a sign of capitalist greed that these are being run. Of course, if they don’t run these ads, they get accused of censorship and threatened by the government.
