I have messaged girls who were “busy” and took hours and maybe even days to reply usually. But when it was in their best interest to reply quickly, like choosing which movie they wanna watch (my treat, naturally) lo and behold they reply within 30 seconds.

You internalise all this and start thinking about it with each passing moment. The question “Am I the clown” keeps popping up, and right before you put on that wig, the notification comes and you’re able to continue talking to them.
Sometimes you gotta remember that it’s a human being on the other side that has their own shit to deal with.
