i might be wrong but is it that much of a facepalm thing??

like if someone started waving a swastika in times square the first reaction wouldnt be “oh hey look someones waving around what is the symbol of peace and prosperity in their religion” right?

    2. Reminds me of us police when they see any combination of green red white and black and call it terrorist flag

It’s like holding up a swastika flag in Israel, the IJN was sadistic to the Chinese people in ww2.

    4. The colour is different, but today I learned that the flag of North Macedonia looks like that. Even I’m surprised by the similarity.

It gives a strong vibe of that TikTok woman who got angry and call restaurants owner Zionist for flying Israel flags, while grabbing on their Greek flag.

    6. Isnt it kind of a jerk move to be standing on another country’s accomplishment waving a different country’s flag? Seems rude to me.

I can understand the Guard’s reaction, it does look pretty similar. They hate Japan because the Japanese Empire committed by far the worst atrocities of WW2. Even the Nazis seem restrained with what they did.

    8. Holy shit, I knew the two flags for ages and only now realised that they do look similar, the same if your colourblind… or stupid.

    9. The funny thing is that over in China BOY is a very popular clothing brand. Their logo is disturbingly close to a Nazi logo.

When I was in Chinaand had to explain the symbol by comparing it to the rising sun flag.

    10. It is pretty much the same design tbf. Only difference is the spaces between the red are yellow and the rays don’t connect to the sun.

I don’t think the Macedonian flag is common knowledge anywhere outside of Macedonia and its neighbors lol. Can’t blame them for thinking it was something else.
