In the military if you do not like your Commanding Officer, just wait 2 years and they will change. The Generals have been through many administrations; Hegseth is not something special and he will soon be gone. They will still be around either in Military aspects or political ambitions and probably don’t want public stink (even if they endorse it) to follow them.

Also, let’s applaud our National Guard military leaders as well. They know that Trump is using the Guard as a tool to create civil unrest and anxiety. Instead of being willing participants they decided to pick up trash the communities they were tasked with ‘securing’ which greatly reduced tensions and helped maintain the view that the US military isn’t bending to Trump.
Who would have thought that all those hours of picking up cigarette butts and liter was some form of Mr. Miyagi training that would ultimately be used to defend democracy from tyranny.

We disagreed about almost everything except for the fact that what made our country great was the fact that an enlisted soldier could disagree with his CO on politics and social issues was what made our country great.
