So, who wants to tell him about Operation Paperclip?

    1. Wait until he finds out about the Nazi rocket scientists and the black women who made it all possible.

    2. Guess who was the production engineer for the Redstone that put Shepard in space? Hint: same engineer for the Saturn V, and the same engineer as a certain missile in the 1940s.

    3. We’re also on track to be the first country to speed run being founded, and collapsing in under 300 years.

      Go us. /s

    4. Its crazy to hear him say that the foreign folks we import for high end science projects are of the servant class. These are some of the brightest people in the world and are literally the top .01% of their field. Even if Vance doesnt believe what he’s saying, it sends a bad message to our community and hurts America’s chances of importing extremely bright people in the future, if not already.

GOP: “WE SHOULD HAVE AMERICANS DO THE WORK!”

America: “I was going to, but I had to declare bankruptcy after getting my associates degree… Any chance we can lower the price of education?”

GOP: “Ah, fuck it… let the Indians do it… They were here first anyway.”

    6. Or about the fact that it was a massive, taxpayer-funded program for the public good. The GOP would never let that happen today.

Vance either needs to crack open a textbook, or is Gaslighting, again.

Especially since this is both interesting, and easy enough to check.

I also didn’t bring up more loosely associated figures, such as Albert Einstein or Walter Bothe, who were critical to our understanding of physics but weren’t specialists in rocketry.

What makes this even funnier is that Cape Canaveral is in Florida, the state that rejects math for being “woke.”

    9. He probably thinks all those Nazi rocket scientists we scooped up after WW2 did nothing wrong.

He works for the guy he used to call America’s Hitler, after all.

Wernher von Braun designed the most powerful rocket the world had ever seen. That’s what got the Americans to the moon.
