      Hell yeah! This spread all over. My family couldn’t afford Adidas, but I got all white AAUs and red and white fat laces to make a checkered weave. I thought I was the coolest kid in my Southern Indiana town of 500 people in 1983!

      There’s a great book called “Where’d You Get Those: NYC Sneaker History from 1970-1987”. It’s about $20 online. Really great read and excellent photos.

    4. Shell Toe Adidas or suede Pumas but never mix Adidas and Puma on the same day while wearing your track suit.

      Kangols and Gazelles go with either.
