It’s confirmed: we really are going backwards

    1. It doesn’t “cause” violence; but it most definitely desensitizes people to it. The military can vouch for that.

To be fair we are about to go into a civil war I’m not interested in the government doing anything about guns.

      He’s absolutely right.

You can tell because America is the only place where people play computer games.

US on the brink of civil war; Europe on the brink of war as well. Makes me not want to get out of bed in the morning. Just get it over with.

    5. Governments often seek to disarm their citizens to exert greater control over them. Look at what is happening in Europe currently. Governments are encroaching on people’s personal space, controlling them through ID verification. Additionally, any speech the government dislikes is labeled as hate speech, censored, and can lead to imprisonment.

    6. As if Helldivers 2 does not teach gun control coz friendly fire is always on. We have more control on where to shoot unlike this country lol.

    7. Hah, jokes on him, I use gun violence in video games as an outlet so I don’t commit real world gun violence.

    8. Gaming is growing as a hobby, murder rates are declining – despite what people feel – and I don’t think there’s much evidence of a causal link between real violence and games anyways.

Most people are able to enjoy fiction, and not confuse it with reality.

    9. But this is RFK we’re talking about.

His credibility is so fucking poor that his cited sources are made the fuck up.

The rest of the world has video games. The rest of the world deals with illegal drugs, violent movies, and whatever other excuses he’s throwing out.

Funny how mass shootings are almost uniquely American. 🤔

first they fixed obesity epidemic by changing the type of sugar in coke and now they are fixing gun violence by talking about computer games for a bit.

They lost in court so many time over this they stopped doing it this way
Now its about asking payment processors to hold mony hostage

People in their 40 and 50s grew up playing video games. This argument is just… middle aged and struggling to afford housing despite having a full time job.

    14. Are we ever going to have a conversation about the positive correlation between the closing of state mental hospitals and the rise of gun violence?

    15. there was a lot of violence before video games even existed. So what were the causes of violence before video games?

That’s been confirmed for quite a while. Should’ve seen the writing on the wall already.

As someone who plays COD since age 9, it’s shocking that I never touched a gun in real life, let alone killed people with it.

    19. Sure, it’s got nothing to do with your broken country. Rifles for sale in every candy store have no connection.

    20. It’s their go to when someone brings up gun control. They want use to be controlled so bad.

    21. “the firearms question is a complex question (it’s not) and it’s not an easy question (it is, in fact so is the answer but these brain dead greedy morons can’t get rid of them when they’re being paid by lobbies. these people are corrupt and compromised.)

    22. If this premise were true Canada and similar western countries would have the same gun issues as the USA.

    23. lol 2026 rest of the world enjoys GTA 6 with no mass shootings while America enjoys mass shootings and no GTA6

    24. No shit, the current US administration is full of dipshits and idiots, who would’ve thought a convicted felon would make such bad decisions
