    1. Saw an Orchestra this month and they played this for their finale. Had the cannons at the end. Awesome! Also loved the crowd’s reaction for those who got a little surprised too.

    3. My favorite Tchaikovsky fact isn’t the cannons. It is the time he wrote to his teenage brother telling him to stop masturbating or else he would hire Count Tolstoy to break into the boy’s bedroom at random to catch him in the act. He didn’t say which Count Tolstoy, but I like to think it was the author.
