So, not a data person or a mathematician. I've been fascinated with the Prisoner's Dilemma game and how different strategies work. I set up a tit-for-tat sim on an Excel spreadsheet against random moves and it was interesting how the averages in a 100 simulations varied wildly between 1.8 to 2.6 but when you do 100,000 simulations the average never wavered beyond 2.4 to 2. 5. It's basic but it kinda shows why you shouldn't rely on a limited data set.
I'm trying to test different strategies but against randomized moves, it's hard to tell which is best. Research has shown repeatedly that TfT produces the best outcomes long term.
