That’s awesome. I’ve got an 84 short bed that I just put an Edelbrock fuel injection on, rebuilt small block and I love it so much. Lucky to have a place to store it in winter dnd it’s totally rust free. Great trucks!

If you like that form factor, check out the story about the $20k electric pickup.

My first truck was my dad’s 1988 GMC Jimmy two door. Got my license in 1994. Everyone knew my truck. Some were envious. I traded it for something less awesome. I miss it to the point that if I found another for sale in decent shape, I’d buy it.

I’ve thought for a while now that a company should start selling vehicles that look like square bodies, fast backs, even wood paneled wagons, but with modern tech. I would but an old Cheyenne with Bluetooth.

Yeah, I had a ’78 C10, all brown, straight 6, bought it from a small town maintenance auction in 90 or so with a ton of miles, drove it for another ten years or so, abused the hell out of it. I rarely put a dime in it, the thing just would not quit.

Sad, sad day when I drove it to the junk yard to put it to sleep. Yes there was a tear or two.

Have had 4 trucks since then, but that one has the fondest memories.
