I’m super game for everyone becoming a Nani Stan but like isn’t this the opposite of what princesses do? Princesses don’t work or take care of shit, they have poor people for that.
I think my problem is with Disney princesses and monarchy as a whole.

When we see into her room she has a LOT of surfing trophies. Imo that implies she gave up her passion to focus on work so she could take care of Lilo

What I love about Nani is she’s not a great mom. She makes mistakes and loses her temper. So many older kids in fiction are promoted to parent and are insanely great at it. It’s nice to see a more realistic take of this.

She can join Mulan in the “Better than a princess” club. You get in by merit and not your mommy’s crown.
