My brother used to have that on both hands and it would crack because it was so dry. Even used to wear gloves at night with moisturizing cream. Not sure what caused it but it went away eventually

I had something similar a couple of years ago on a couple of fingers and then on the arches of my feet. Mine felt like I had super glue on the tips of my fingers. At some point it started to itch and had tiny bumps. My PA told me it was most likely Dyshidrotic eczema. She prescribed Triamcinolone Ointment and it went away. No idea what caused it but it was during COVID and I’ve decided it was mostly likely stress induced.

I have eczema and this happens to me when my hand touches any fragranced soaps or body washes. I have to use fragrance free everything including my laundry soap.

This happens to me sometimes. Vaseline and a cotton glove while you sleep will fix it.

I have Raynaud’s Syndrome in quite a few of my fingers.
When it first came on, i also noticed an odd crinkling of 2 of my fingertips that I chalked up to having to wear latex gloves all day even though the other fingers weren’t crinkled. Within a few weeks the crinkling started to look more obvious and the entire fingertip began to have a faint tingling sensation and the fingertips began to turn bright red. Over time, the redness turned to a ghostly white and the tingling sensation went from “oh that’s weird” to absolute excruciating pain when my affected fingers touched anything even remotely cold or when I washed my hands.
Went to a hand surgeon at the request of my regular physician and yep, Raynaud’s. If that’s what’s happening to you, there isn’t much to stop it, just learn to live with it.

I get this all time time. I had eczema when I was a child, and it started to appear again when I turned about 23.
I bartend. I noticed it appears the most when I would come in contact with citrus. I get it on my finger tips like you (when I squeeze citrus) or on the outsides of my pinkies (when I stick my hand in a bag of limes). I use fragrance free everything, which also helps control it. Hydrocortisone cream is a lifesaver for a cheap fix.

It looks like you’re right-handed and started doing something new about a month ago, that involves an unusual about of pressure on your finger tips. Since you say you haven’t been doing anything manual, perhaps this could be a type of mild chemical burn?

Can be diabetes or smth genetic. Me and my father both have this. But only on 1-2 fingers. He has diabetes and I surprisingly not (yet?). Anyway I have this for couple of years only on my ring finger on left hand. Hand cream helps a little bit, but it’s still there.

Do your hands and feet get unusually cold? Prunes fingers can be a symptom of Raynaud’s disease. Your blood vessels constrict more than normal. It can also be eczema. Both can be triggered by stress
