When Makron died, a woman named Phila or Dagina laid this curse with the deceased, calling on divine powers to help her prevent the wedding of her former lover Dionysophon with another woman. It reads: I bind, by this written spell, the ritual ceremony and the marriage of Dionysophon and Thetima, and of all other women (to him), both widows and virgins, but especially Thetima, and I assign this spell to Makron and the demons.
