I will say that viewing them *way* off axis makes the LCD look significantly worse than it does straight on.

My buddy got an oled monitor and returned it a week later because the blacks were too black 🤣

Is this some 4d chess advertise for the oled ipad? Cos oled existed on phones across price range for a really long time now

No one operates with brightness at max unless they are outdoors in sunlight though – at which point you won’t notice the “glow” due to how bright the surroundings are. You also won’t notice the “glow” much if you aren’t viewing the phone at such an odd angle.
In normal use cases, the differences aren’t this stark.
