Reddit Family, what were your favourite moments from the movie?
Mine : when the fearsome headmistress asked the children “Why are all these women married”
-They were all spelling the word DIFFICULTY.
– “Mrs D, Mrs I, Mrs F F I…………”🤣
*best line ever*

I watched the spanish dubbed version with my daughter when she was 5, and the character’s name was changed to “Señorita Tronchatoro” (Miss Bull-chopper). It was unironically fitting

Do yourself a favor and read the book of the same name by Roald Dahl that this movie is based on. If you think the Trunchbull is an evil in this movie, you will be in for some surprises because she is positively over-the-top evil in the book.
Fun fact: Matilda’s doll “Lissy doll” is named after Falicity Dahl, who was Roald Dahl’s wife and also produced the film.
