Drawer microwaves are actually pretty expensive, most people probably haven’t seen one in the wild.

You don’t want to know how much a microwave like thgat costs.
I don’t get why theyre so much more expensive either, like whoop-de-doo you screwed on some $5 drawer rails from a hardware store, that’s an extra $1800.

I hate this so much, and I’m not even sure why.

My parents have this one and I bump into it all the time and press buttons. Oops. But it seems pretty cool.

Was there a blonde twink hiding in there with his sister?

My parents have one like that. I would just pull it open before I realized there was an “open” and “closed” button. It had just been installed. The installers had to replace it because it mysteriously started getting jammed about to weeks in that definitely had no way to do with how I had used it.

It’s at “no kids for you” level if you stand in front of it while it’s going, too!

We put one in when we remodeled, after about a year one of the plastic wheels that helps it slide in and out feel off. They sent a tech out to fix it. He said he couldn’t do anything, so the company sent a brand new one out. We still use the old one because it still functions fine, and we even told the company it still worked fine. And yes they are expensive I believe it was around $1500. No idea why, to my understanding the internals are the same as regular microwaves but just has an extra motor for the door.

So you reach down to your now hot food? And slide your cup of coffee or bowl of soup back and forth in a drawer to heat it?
Some people here like them but it looks like a bad idea.

I’m a pet sitter and I was feeding someone’s dog who said to microwave the food first. I looked everywhere for the microwave and had to text the clients cause it was one of these and I had no idea that was microwave!

Those are a mild flex nowadays. Typically higher end homes have them.

My parents have one of these in their house they built in 2015.
It’s not a super nice house by any means, but it is a pretty nice house.
Prob paid 400k to build it, may be worth 500-600k now? Nicer than my house, but again, not rich person’s house by any means.

Wasn’t the Borg Queen stored in something like that? In the Picard series.
