Why is this made in CHINA!? It’s just some print on paper for the love of god.

When I was a kid, they used to do one that was all E oriented in different directions and you pointed which direction the prongs pointed, up, down, left, right. I thought that was pretty effective. You really couldn’t guess if you couldn’t see. This one is cute but you can make a lot of guesswork based on the size and the amount of dark, especially since they repeat symbols.

Of course, now days they just have you look into a machine that measures your eyeball and spits out what your prescription is to a pretty high accuracy.

My kid’s eye doctor still uses slides from the 80s and I had to tell her kids don’t know what rotary phones are.

I’ve seen one that was all circles with gaps missing in random spots around the circle and the gaps varied in size

    5. My son knew the alphabet way before he started kindergarten, but he didn’t know all these symbols. It wasn’t productive at all to test his sight.

    6. I always wondered how they test the eyesight of people with dyslexia. They must use eye charts like this?
