On MacOS, when a Windows device shows up on the network, it is shown with the blue screen of death

    1. Yep. Been like that for years.

      ‘cuz it’s funny.

I think newer MacOS have changed it to something less… triggering for Windows-users.

I remember a pair of students with their macbook laughing at other students using windows, and on how stupid windows users were and blabla. The other users were visibly disturbed but didn’t respond. They’ve kept working. The Apple guys delivered a shitty assignment.

This has the same vibe. I thought this was a user’s thing.

There are 2 types of people in this world. Those who want to learn about how their computer works and get “under the hood” a bit, and there’s those who just want a polished product that will get their job done with little thought or effort put into it.

Oh yeah and then there’s Linux users lol. The bad-ass die-hard computer Chads.

    4. And also with an archaic monitor? Man, it’s like when they depict phones from other brands, too. Apple acts like an insecure teenage girl.

    5. I worked in an environment with Macs and PCs back around 2011-2015 and I saw maybe 4 or 5 blue screens, but I saw kernel panics like every other day on the Macs.

The windows computers were dual-boot imacs too, so apparently windows was more reliable on the Intel iMacs as well. Granted we had lots of special software for the network to work, but the same weird shit ran on windows just fine.

    6. I’ve never had a device crash more than my old MacBook Pro. Also every time I shut it off or restarted it, on boot up it would tell me it ran into an error and had to restart… Even though I restarted it manually.

Now my M2 MacBook pro is great, haven’t had any of the same issues. And my custom built Windows 11 (best Windows OS ever) gaming PC also never has any issues.
